The second leg of my attempt to ride the British coastline and I'm in Southern Scotland, cycling along Scotland's nose. Starting in Gretna, I head west along the various peninsulas of Dumfries and Galloway to the country's southern-most point - the Mull of Galloway. Then its northward again until the town of Ayr.
On the way, there'll be a lot of rain, a killer headwind, a couple of castles, a lot more rain, a pretty seaside town and a night beneath the stars at the foot of a shining lighthouse. There's also my first real dilemma of the journey as I approach the busy ferry road outside Stranraer.
