Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, is a dizzying array of water, buildings and bridges (appx 50) spread across 14 islands. With a population of appx 2 Million, Stockholm has everything from trendy new areas to the old town and everything in between. The city is about 1/3 Water, 1/3 Parks/open space and 1/3 Buildings. It’s reported the city has more than 50 museums and 10 Palaces plus hotels, government buildings and more.

*The Vasa Museum - home to a huge war ship that sunk 40 minutes into its maiden voyage, 1628. Buy tickets online.
*Stockholm City Hall
Note: to visit City Hall - you MUST take a GUIDED TOUR to enter. This is where the Nobel Banquet is held. See the beautiful mosaic gold room. The building is made of over 8M bricks. Weddings are held on Saturday’s in the French room.

Also recommend is a boat tour to explore the diverse city.
For travelers, finding a restroom can be challenging. Street urinals are placed around the city for men. Use at your own discretion.
