NAVAJO BRIDGE ON THE COLORADO RIVER

The Navajo Bridge in Marble Canyon, Arizona, was actually built twice! Once in 1929 and again in 1995. It spans the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon National Park. We walked over the pedestrian bridge, which gave us magnificent views of the river as well as the nearby Vermillion Cliffs. It was first called the Grand Canyon Bridge, and five years later renamed the Navajo Bridge. We were there on January 1, 2023, and the Visitor Center and restrooms were closed, but it was stills beautiful to walk over the river and feel the cold wind and see its beautiful emerald color.
