Hello everyone and welcome to you!
This week I'm visiting the drama studio which was used by NETFLIX for the drama Kingdom in Mungyeong
This passage was exploited during the reign of King Taejong (1400-1418) until 1925 when a new road was cut through the Ihwaryeong pass.
The construction of a fortified gate at this passage is due to the sad experience of the Japanese invasions (in the years 1592 and 1598). In 1594 Jogok-gwan, the second gate was added and in 1708 Juhol-gwan and Joryeong-gwan were built and considered as points of defense of the country. After having been damaged the three fortified gates were in 1966, classified historical monuments number 147 then, were finally restored in 1976.
The outdoor studio for KBS's historical soap operas is located in Mungyeong Saejae Park and happens to be the largest in the world. It has three palaces and many houses from Goryeo's time over an area of 70,000 m².
