The "Other" Chicken Mushroom: Laetiporus cincinnatus

Most people think of "Chicken Mushroom" as the orange fungus that grows directly on oak trees and has a sulphur yellow colored underside. But did you know there's another "Chicken Mushroom" that grows on the ground? Meet Laetiporus cincinnatus, the White Chicken Mushroom in this video by Rachel Goclawski of Cooking With Mrs G! Rachel is a Massachusetts Certified Educator and holds Mushrooming Certification in the state of RI. She's Programming Partner with The Museum of Natural History, Girl Scouts, Sudbury Valley Trustees and other non-profits. Rachel's passion is to inspire a love for the natural world by teaching Foraging, Mushrooming and other sustainable skills, just like her great-grandfather, Dr. Arthur W. Fairbanks did when he helped found the Boston Mycological Club back in the 1800's.
