Finally! My first JoJo remix!!
I finally started watching the show around a month before Anime Expo so I took the opportunity to remix one of my favorite opening songs from the show to debut the song at my show for Trash Taste. For the remix, I loved the groove the original had going in the chorus so I wanted to keep the drums relatively similar during the first chorus at least before changing it up for the rest of the song. I had such an amazing time making the drop for this one! The original drop had Joseph Jostar sound bites in there but I can't really license those to go on song distributors so I had to take them out and only have them when I play the song live. Overall though, I used a new technique of making pluck synths similar to making a kick in Serum to get a punchy sound to make the sound design in the drop and I am super excited to use this technique in future songs! Also, I've been using vocodex so much ever since I first started using it in the rumbling. You'll definitely hear more of it in future songs haha
For the 2nd chorus I wanted the kick to stand out more so I went for a progressive house kind of chorus and it turned out really aggressive (the way I like it haha). BrokeN added in some extra oooo's during the bridge and it made that section perfect! Oh speaking of which, humongous shout out to the singer BrokeN! He is a long time collaborator on the channel and his vocals were the perfect type for this song!!
Overall, I had so much fun making this song and I'm loving JoJo so far! I am currently in the 2nd half of Stardust Crusaders and it's been a blast so far! I actually prefer part 2 currently (though the n*zi stuff was really unneeded) and I've heard so much about part 4 so I can't wait for it! Stands are a really cool concept and I am excited to see where they take it!!
