The third leg of my attempt to ride the British coastline sees me taking an unusual route up the West Coast of Scotland. Having the change plans because of pandemic restrictions on ferry routes, I had to pick my way along the coastline, trying not to lose track of time.
Starting in Ayrshire, my trip involved a number of ferry rides, mechanical problems with the bike and a whistle-stop tour of Mull. A quick visit to the cute town of Tobermory and another short ferry ride, and soon my leg was over at the western most point of mainland Britain: the isolated, volcanic landscape of Ardnamurchan.
