I've never seen colors like this on a 4K HDR screen this large.

As it turns out, laser projection has seen massive improvements in all these areas, especially price. And there's one specifically that has absolutely shocked me in terms of its price to performance, at least on paper, and that's the Valerion VisionMaster Plus 2 laser projector. A quick look at the specs shows that not only can it get up to 300 inches, but it has 110% Rec 2020 coverage, far above the best displays on the market today, which typically land closer to around 80%, which in theory should allow for the most rich colors you'll probably ever see.
On top of that, it has an impressive 2000 ISO lumens, a 4K resolution of course, triple RGB laser projection, a very impressive 10,000 to 1 contrast apparently, which would put it at least in theory as far better than a traditional LCD and a little bit closer to mini-LED, although I'll have to test to see if that's actually the case, and then Dolby Vision and HDR 10 Plus support as well. Really great to see, but again, the most impressive part has got to be the price.
Now apparently it's $24.99 on release. It's not quite available yet, but even more impressively, apparently you can get it for $14.99 right now, which would make it way cheaper than not only other projectors that I've seen similar to this, but on top of that, it's way cheaper than a $20,000 mini-LED or OLED display if you're looking for something large. On paper, this looks like a really great alternative to spending those big bucks, but of course we'll only know for sure if I actually test it myself.
