Jama Masjid of Delhi or Masjid-I-Jahan-Numa is one the largest mosque in India. It was built by Mughal emperor Shahjahan in 1656. It has consists 3 royal gates & a big courtyard in the middle of the masjid. The mosque has Arabic & Persian calligraphy work on wall. It has 3 marble domes with 2 big minarets. The mosque predominantly uses red sandstone. Five smaller, cusped archways flanked on either side of the masjid. In its centre lies a marble ablution tank. It can accommodate 25,000 worshippers.
