The Kurokawa Onsen Tour Pass, also known as Nyuto Tegata, can be purchased at any inn in Kurokawa Onsen. For 1,500 yen, you can unlock access to the hot springs at 30 different inns within Kurokawa Onsen. Although the pass allows unlimited time in the hot springs, you can only choose three inns to visit. If three visits in one day feel like too much, you can opt for two visits and exchange the third for a souvenir. Additionally, the Nyuto Tegata is made from locally sourced Oguni cedar, making it a great travel keepsake.
We took a bus from bus stop No. 7 in front of Kumamoto Station to Kurokawa Onsen. The journey took about 3 hours. Bus tickets need to be purchased in advance on the bus website.
