We are so thankful for the founder of Tactical Pause, Joe Rapisarda, a certified win hof instructor, to be able to come out here in Hawaii and teach us a few benefits of taking an ice bath as well as breathing techniques to help keep the body calm.
As you can see in the video Joe helps Clay breathe through it as he was laying in 120 pounds of ice. This decreases inflammation, increasing blood flow, and giving your brain a shot of dopamine.
Joe had taught us about the "horse stance" as it is an ancient technique to keep the body warm. While sitting in an athletic squat, have one hand push in one direction as the other pulls in the opposite direction.
