Musician/YouTuber Stevie T recently put out a video called "How To Be Country", listing all the things you have to do to be a country music star. But is he right? This former Country Music Guitar Tech breaks down the video to see how accurate it is.

At 3:34 in the video when talking about Country artists using stage names or variations of their names, I listed Tim McGraw's real name as being "Samuel Timothy Smith". While that is the legal name that he was born with, he did legally change it to "McGraw" later in life after meeting his biological father, MLB pitcher "Tug" McGraw.
