Oshima is a small island located in Mikuni-cho, Sakai City, Fukui Prefecture, facing the sea. Oshima is known for its mysterious blend of natural beauty and historical background.
Curse if you circle counterclockwise: Legend has it that if you circle Male Island counterclockwise, some misfortune will befall you. There are various theories as to why this is so, but it may have something to do with the shape of the island and its historical background.
In fact, after exploring the island counterclockwise, I am not sure if it was cursed or not, but the stars and fishing fires seen from the island were beautiful.
However, we do not recommend entering the island at night, as there are no lights and poor footing on the island at night.
