Normally, I use my freshly foraged elderberries to make our elderberry syrup. If they're not freshly foraged, then most likely they are frozen, as I freeze several bags of elderberries in the fall to get us through the winter. But not everyone has access to fresh or frozen elderberries.
I get a TON of questions about how to make elderberry syrup from dried elderberries, and is it possible? Yes, it is absolutely possible to make your elderberry syrup from dried elderberries.
In this video, I'm demonstrating how to do this using an Elderberry Wellness Packet (pre-made elderberry syrup mix) from Cold Creek Naturals. These are super convenient because the recipe is pre-mixed, there are clear directions given, AND now there's this video.
You can also just purchase dried elderberries from Cold Creek Naturals or other good herb shop like Starwest Botanicals.
