At the start of lock-down Mr Showell, Director of Music at Eltham College, issued a challenge to all Eltham College musicians to come together and perform the iconic Dambusters March, written by Eric Coates in 1955 for the film of the same name. An arrangement of this classic theme was written by conductor and composer, Noël Tredinnick (Professor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama) as a hymn of praise titled God is our Strength and Refuge. It is this version that has been recorded by our incredible music students and VMT staff.
