Another great 90's Hard Rock ballad that was missing from Youtube. I cannot understand why songs like these were not on Youtube until now. I had to dig my personal mp3 library to find this again.
This song is featuring Steve Blaze and his band Lillian Axe, with the great rock vocalist Ron Taylor singing. The concept is about a girl who disappeared in the woods. Lillian Axe come from New Orleans, USA.
I was thinking to post that song on 2nd May 2021 to fit with the song title ,
here I am posting this 1 week later on 9th May 2021. Well, it's never too late.

Lyrics
Sweet little babe walked away in the woods and got lost today
No one ever heard her laugh again
Some people say that she fell in the water
But I knew her so well and she was afraid of the sea
Where could she be?
I've been drowning in the shallows
And I fade away
When I think of that day
What did she say?
Born on the 2nd of May
Everyone's child disappeared as she ran to the woods to play
Someone stole a gem beneath our eyes
Some people say that she's sleeping below us
And some people swear that she flew up to Heaven
But I knew her so well and she was afraid of the dark
Well, I've been drowning in the shallows (to be near you)
And, I fade away
When I think of that day
What did she pray?
Lost on the 2nd of May
Some people say that the devil's among us
But I knew him so well and he is afraid to be seen
I've been drowning in the shallows
And I fade away
When I think of that day
What did she say?
Gone on the 2nd of May
I've been drowning in the shallows
And I fade away
When I think of that day
What did she pray?
Dead on the 2nd of May
I've been drowning in the shallows (to be near you)
