Walking around Kehi Jingu Shrine in Tsuruga City, Fukui Prefecture
Kehi Jingu is a historical shrine located in Tsuruga City, Fukui Prefecture, and is one of the most representative shrines on the Sea of Japan coast.
The main deity is Izasawake-no-mikoto, and six other deities are enshrined here.
Torii Gate
The Otorii of Kibi Jingu Shrine is one of the three largest wooden torii gates in Japan. This 11-meter-high torii is a magnificent structure that exudes history and dignity.
There are many auxiliary shrines within the precincts of the shrine, each with its own history and traditions. Of particular note are the hall of worship and the kaguraden, which enshrine the deities of the shrine.
