Denmark is ramping up security in Greenland over threats US President-elect Donald Trump wants to take over.
The Nordic nation claims it will bolster Greenland's defences with new resources after the US President-elect renewed interest in purchasing the Arctic island.
The $2.4 billion package would include the purchase of new patrol boats, long-range drones, two extra sled dog teams and an upgrade to the island's airports to handle F-35 fighter jets.
In 2019, then-President Trump flagged interest in buying Greenland but was swiftly shot down by both Danish and Greenlandic officials.
