Abstract Mountain Landscape: Gold & Newspaper I Creating a Patina on a Vintage Baroque Frame

In this video, I show you how to transform an antique baroque frame I found at a flea market. Originally painted in a uniform gold, it lacked the charm I love in beautiful patinas. In the first part, I’ll explain how to create a lovely aged patina to bring the frame back to life.

Next, I’ll create a semi-abstract landscape on canvas board, sized to fit the frame. I see a mountain in this landscape, perhaps the Matterhorn? What do you think? This technique is incredibly simple and accessible to everyone, even beginners, for a surprising and charming result.
