How to Make Perfect French Toast | Easy and Delicious Recipe

French Toast | Easy and Delicious Recipe
Ingredients:
2 large free-range eggs
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pinch of ground cinnamon
2 slices of white bread
40 g dark chocolate (minimum 70% solids)
1 peeled banana
Butter or 1 teaspoon of oil for cooking
25 g blanched hazelnuts
Walnuts
Icing sugar
1/2 Greek-style yoghurt
Fresh mint for decoration

Instructions:
1. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon.
2. Soak the bread slices in the egg mixture for a couple of minutes.
3. Place a slice of bread on a plate and add the dark chocolate.
4. Place the other slice of bread on top to make a sandwich.
5. Cut the banana in half very gently.
6. Heat a pan with butter or oil over medium heat.
7. Add the banana slices to the pan and cook, stirring, for 2 minutes until lightly browned.
8. Add the blanched hazelnuts to the pan and cook until golden brown.
9. Remove the hazelnuts if they are nicely browned.
10. Add a little more butter or oil to the pan, then cook the sandwich for 2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
11. Place the walnuts in a resealable bag and lightly crush them to get large and small pieces.
12. Lightly dust the top of the sandwich with icing sugar and flip it back over for a few seconds to caramelise.
13. The sandwich is ready. Arrange the banana slices on top, add a little yoghurt and walnuts, and decorate with a sprig of fresh mint.
14. Serve hot with a little yoghurt and banana. Enjoy!
