Manchester United winger Antony has returned to the UK and will meet with Greater Manchester Police.
The 23-year-old had been given a leave of absence by the Premier League club amid allegations of domestic abuse.
The Brazil international denies all claims against him. Antony arrived back in the UK on Tuesday as he was free to leave Brazil after fully cooperating with police enquiries in his home country.
He was voluntarily interviewed by Brazilian police in June and was not arrested or charged. Police in Brazil confirmed they do not require any further information from him and was able to return to the UK.
He has voluntarily agreed to meet with Greater Manchester Police for questioning and will hand over his phone for inspection.
Antony remains on leave from Manchester United while he deals with the allegations against him.
A statement from the club earlier in September read: “Manchester United acknowledges the allegations made against Antony and notes that the Police are conducting enquiries.
“Pending further information, the club will be making no further comments.
