The birth of the Green Island Human Rights Cultural Park originated from the detention of many "political prisoners" in the two "political prisons" in the era of white terror, a time-changing corridor of historical changes and the prison space of imprisoned political prisoners, and a deep understanding of the importance of human rights. The park was originally a large exhibition hall. The "New Student Training Center" and "Oasis Mountain Villa" were prisons and concentration camps for imprisoning political prisoners. They are now not only open to visitors, but also use wax figures and installation art to present Green Island from 1950. Since the beginning of the decade, nearly 40 years have been the history of political prisoners. Although in the face of the records of various victims, it is inevitable that the mood is heavy, but it is also a face-to-face history of Taiwan, let us profoundly reflect on the lessons of history.
