Method of preparation:
Step 1: Make a sugary syrup by boiling sugar and water together and set aside. Combine jamun mix, rice powder, and water to form a pliable dough. For the coconut filling, cook in grated coconut with jaggery until thick. Add cardamom powder and stir thoroughly.
Step 2: Form small balls and flatten them to 5cm diameter. Keep the stuffing in the center of the flattened dough and fold the corners in the shape of a modak.
Step 3: Steam the modak for 2-3 minutes. Cool and deep fry until golden brown colour. Soak the fried modak jamun in the prepared sugar syrup for 5 minutes
