A 12-hour statewide bandh has been called by 3,000 pro-Kannada organisations in protest of an alleged assault on a KSRTC bus conductor in Belagavi. The bandh, from 6 am to 6 pm, is expected to impact schools, colleges, banks, public transport, and utility services. Cab drivers, autorickshaw unions, KSRTC, and BMTC have confirmed their participation, leading to limited public transport options. Even hotel and film industry representatives have extended their moral support.
