This story is from my friend's cousin Martin, who lives in California. He's a 28 year old trekker and data scientist. According to him, this was the most horrible experience of his life. When he, along with his 2 friends from India, Neal and Raj Agarwal went to Trek in Appalachian mountains where they experienced paranormal activities to a great degree. Fortunately nobody got hurt except Neal faced some lung problems after that incident.
