Located in Koenji, this is a place we visit now and then whenever Satoshi gets homesick for the food of his hometown.

Whatever you do, you just try these three dishes. These are iconic Yamagata dishes.

1️⃣ Dashi(served on tofu) – Dashi is simply chopped summer vegetables seasoned with soy sauce. This Ise serves over a tofu here.
2️⃣ Fu with Mushrooms – fu is wheat gluten and is used in various dishes. This one is simmered in a umami-rich both with mushrooms.
3️⃣ Tama Konnyaku – Our absolute favorite! Tama konnyaku are sphere-shaped konnyaku cooked in a soy sauce broth with squid. Tons of umami and probably one of the most famous Yamagata dishes.
